It takes only one person to start a movement and everyone follows it. When 4 people do it, it will be a seed for something big.
I am sure now we will get people from across the country doing this in their towns, Malls, Grocery stores, temples, restaurants etc.
This is how a grassroots movement catches momentum and is successful. The success of our rally depends on such people who will go out of the way and make the extra effort.
Kudos to Sanjeev, Raj, Murali and Kumar. You are our heroes of the week.
On behalf of core team, we thank you for this effort.

I had a quick question to add to this....
If one is on F1 and his/her spouse (who is on H1B and has filed for a Green Card) ends up with a current priority date, can the person on F1 file for the Green Card along with the spouse? Or does one have to be on H4 to ride along with the H1's COS?

I am trying to be as close to relevant as I can be. As i said, a past legislation doesn't mean future legislation would be same BUT it definitively give us a lesson what we should strive to prevent....
and whatever the 2006 and 2007 legislation were - they were. I didn't made them up myself. So, I cant edit them...lol...

My H1 extension was denied after an RFE. They have given the reason that documents submitted by my company do not confirm that my occupation is a specialty occupation and that they had enough work for me for the next 3 years. They have given me 30 days to file an appeal
My company said there are 2 options
1) file an appeal. they are pretty confident that the appeal will be in my favor
2) have another company file a new h1.
what do you guys suggest? Can i do both simultaneously?
Help will be greatly appreciated. I have never had visa issues till now.

Following are the details from my labor:

Coordinate various account projects with IT consultants; nurture close relationship with the major account customers by providing quality technical support and apply principles of computer science, engineering and mathematical analysis.
From the generic nature of the role resonsibility, I feel that the "Lead technical Architect" role will not be a misfit with the requirement of "Similar resposibility".
Can you kindly let me know if you see any violation of the EAD porting requirement in terms of similar responsibilities?

1) Confirmation Receipt of application
2) Copy of I 485 receipt
3) Front and back copy of current EAD card
4) A copy of the cut out that the current EAD came in
I don't think you need anything else. If you look at it theoretically I-94 and passport, drivers license has nothing to do with an EAD card approval or denial.

I think you there should not be problem as you have new job offer...
One thing I could not understand , why have they called for interview ? I know few people in similar situation got their GC mailed to them.
Have you informed USCIS about AC-21 after leaving petitioner epmloyer ?

E filed both myself and spouse application 157 days before expiry of EAD. Received Receipt numbers immediately, since i e-filed. i did send in the documentary evidence supporting the case also.
Also received FP request, which i had to re-schedule twice(once for visit abroad, second on missing app. due to late arrival of notice). Finally got FP completed on third try.
However, i received email stating that an RFE has been send for both our applications. Still awaiting for the paper document.
Does this mean the application was accepted? Or Should i e-file once again instead of waiting on the outcome of this application as i am already a month late to expiration of EAD?
