Is delivery confirmation possible for PO Box addresses?
I used Fedex Ground , just a tad more expensive than USPS Priority ( if you add all delivery confirmation etc etc ).

And any ideas on what will we do with the final list? If it ever gets to include absolutely everything - much of it may even be hidden from us - you never know what goes on inside those Fed buildings!
I think if we have enough data with actual incidents /dates , we can atleast post them on blogs, send them to the director USCIS, send complaint to congress and whereever else we can.

It is only either Nebraska or Texas now. No other centers process I-140. For Texas center, it is appx 1 to 3 months. But for Nebraska, it is anytime from 6 - 9 months.

Most of my friends (self filing) sent in their applications to reach service center by July 2, haven't received the applications back. According to the USCIS memo yesterday, the last paragraph clearly indicates that the filings received earlier will be accepted and processed... Please see portion of that note below
"USCISs announcement today allows anyone who was eligible to apply under Visa Bulletin No. 107 a full months time to do so. Applications already properly filed with USCIS will also be accepted."

This is a letter summarizing my process over the years, elaborated by my immigration attorney for the US Embassy in Nassau Bahamas where I renewed 3 times my visa H1B, However I have to renew it again and spend the $4500 + trip + hotel and food.
My question to you is that due to the crisis, my salary was reduce to almost half, and my wife is desperate in the house trying to do something on the internet because she cannot work on a H4 Visa. After you read the summary, will know how far are we in our process. Could I ask for a permit to work for her? How long would the process take to get our residence? Because according to my attorney, the immigration office is now processing the residence petitions made on Dec 2002, that means the is behind 8 years. Does that mean that I need to wait 8 more years? Please inform.
I would like to inform you that Mr. Mizrahi his first H-1B visa on June 27, 2003. The visa was approved from June 27, 2003 until May 3, 2006. On or about September 5, 2005, Mr. Mizrahis new employer submitted a new application for Mr. Mizrahi. This new H-1B visa was approved on September 30, 2005. The validity dates of the new visa were September 29, 2005 until September 5, 2008. On or about March 8, 2007, Mr. Mizrahis new employer submitted a new application for Mr. Mizrahi. The new H-1B visa was approved on March 9, 2007. The validity dates of that visa were March 9, 2007 until February 9, 2009.
According to the above information, Mr. Mizrahis six year limit should have ended on May 3, 2009. However, Mr. Mizrahi has made over 60 trips outside of the United States during this time span. Mr. Mizrahi spent 333 days outside of the US during the time that he has held his H-1B visa. Mr. Mizrahi was able to recapture does days and that is why his H-1B visa was extended until May 26, 2010. Further, Mr. Mizrahi has a Labor Certification and an I -140 approved through the same employer. Unfortunately, Mr. Mizrahi has not been able to apply for residency due to the fact that no immigrant visas are available for his category at this time.

It is required of all irrespective of citizenship status to respond to a Jury summons. Not responding is considered contempt of court. The court can issue an arrest warrant for you..Always respond to the Jury summons....
What happens in someone is not at the address and he does not receive any communication regarding the jury duty.

He has 20 years experience means 13 + 9 years of experience will make bachelors equivalent and 10 years of experience.
Will the job requirement saying bachelors equivalent + 10 year experience will qualify as EB2 ? rather than masters or bachelors plus 5 years ?

Any recent experiences please.
How easy or difficult is it.
Is it any different in Chennai or in Hyd.
I heard different things like some employer memo or something. Is it related to stamping.
If it is, please share your receent stamping experiences.
Is Canada better.,
Thank you
Bobby.
If your documents are in order then there is really no need to worry. The employer memo you are talking about is about employer - employee relationship. If a worker on H1 visa is working at a client site where his / her employer do not directly control the day to day activity then that person will be denied H1.
In plain terms if you are on staff augmentation project and report to a client manager who controls your day to day assignment and your H1 employer only runs your payroll then there will be issues when you go for stamping with a possibility of your visa getting denied.

If your wife wants to work, then, of course, both of you have to be on EAD.That's not correct. Primary applicant could be on H1 and dependent use EAD. When dependent starts using EAD it doesn't affect primary applicant.

Just wanted to share our 7th year H-1B extension stamping in Chennai on July 15th. Since my I-140 was approved, the I-797 petition was approved for 3 years. My family (wife and daughter) attended the interview along with me. The procedure for H-1B extension/renewal is much easier in Chennai compared to first time stampers. There is a separate counter for renewals and the interview procedure is quite simple. After the initial screening of documents, we went to a separate renewal counter which did not have any queue.
The VO just asked some questions about my nature of the job and how long I have been with my company. FYI, my company is a major reputed IT Foreign MNC. My family was not asked any questions. We did not have any PIMS delays and I got the passport couriered the very next day itself. The petition was approved a month before the stamping. Overall it is a much streamlined process for H-1B visa extensions/renewals.
Thanks MP70

A question on consular processing vs I-485. She already has a tourist visa. Also since she is deriving her green card status from mine, her priority date is current. Could she come to US on her tourist visa and we file for I-485 here instead of doing consular processing?
Thanks,
Dinesh
I don't think that it works that way. I believe she needed to be in US already on a visa that is not short term - perhaps H4 or F1 or something. I am not too sure though. You should consult with a lawyer prior to taking any action on this one
